For those who own Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams in their fantasy football leagues, you may want to start looking for a replacement. Williams was carted off of the field in yesterday’s 32-23 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders and put on crutches.

Williams made a cut move at about his own 24 yard line when his knee appeared to twist as Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby rode his back to the ground. Williams was ruled questionable to return at first as he was carted off but ultimately was ruled out moment after.

It is suspected that Williams potentially suffered a very serious injury. He will undergo an MRI at some point today to find out the extent of the damage.

The Broncos second year back is rostered in about 99% of both Yahoo and ESPN fantasy football leagues. Although he has struggled to find the end-zone through the first three games, he has certainly been the lead back in the Denver offense. He led the Broncos’ in both carries and rushing yards heading into the Week 4 matchup against the Raiders.

Fantasy owners of running back Melvin Gordon may now have a new RB1 to lock into their lineups. Gordon is rostered in 79% of Yahoo fantasy football leagues and in 74% of ESPN fantasy football leagues.
