Sell High, Buy Low. It’s the name of the game and the best way to ensure fantasy football success. Here is a WR I’m buying low on heading to Week 8.

Chris Godwin

Despite entering this year with massive uncertainty, Chris Godwin has still been a major letdown for fantasy owners. Through the first seven weeks of the season the 26-year-old ranks as the 51st WR in PPR formats.

Even with his struggles, there is optimism the six-year veteran will turn it around. If you take a deeper look into Godwin’s stats, the numbers are on pace with his career average. In the last four weeks, he’s complied 41 targets. The only player in the NFL with more over that span? Tyreek Hill. The law of averages tells us that sooner or later, those targets will translate to fantasy points.

You might be on the Tom Brady is “cooked” train and even if that’s true the 7-time Super Bowl Champion still has enough left in the tank to provide his pass catchers with fantasy value. Brady quietly ranks 7th in the NFL in passing yards despite the Buccaneers massive troubles.

Chris Godwin may not win you your fantasy league, but based on his volume, he will shatter his current WR51 rank. I’m aggressively targeting him on a short week in a favorable matchup with the Ravens on Thursday Night.
