NFL: Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders
Keenan Allen did not practice on Monday.
This is certainly not what fantasy owners were anticipating after a full week of rest. We’ll know more about Allen’s status later in the week when the Chargers release their injury report on Wednesday, but the veteran receiver made his return from a hamstring in Week 7 against the Seahawks. Despite just playing 21% of the team snaps’ Allen said he was encouraged with his performance.
With Mike Williams sidelined for the foreseeable future (ankle) the Chargers are in dire need of their five-time pro bowler to return. If Allen somehow suffered a setback and is not ready for the Chargers Week 9 matchup, Joshua Palmer, Gerald Everett & DeAndre Carter figure to see an uptick in volume. All three would be borderline starters.
