All week long, not just Bills’ fans, but NFL fans in general, have been clamoring for injury news on star quarterback Josh Allen. He suffered an injury to his throwing elbow in last Sunday’s loss and news on his injury was hard to come by this week. Allen reportedly has a slight UCL sprain and is expected to try and play through it. He missed practice all week, but finally got in a limited one on Friday.

Allen is officially listed as questionable for Sunday and head coach Sean McDermott keeps referring to it as, “hour-to-hour.” The Bills are one of the most cautious teams in the league when it comes to injuries; I would expect Allen to miss the game versus the Vikings. Instead, Case Keenum could be quarterbacking the Bills against his former Minneapolis Miracle team.

On the other end of the injury list, All-Pro Safety Jordan Poyer, and emerging second year defensive end, Gregory Rousseau, have already been ruled out. Poyer is still nursing an elbow injury and will miss his second straight game. He has only played in three thus far into the season but has still managed a crazy four interceptions. Rousseau has been top-notch all season in his second year, and is benefiting from future Hall of Famer, Von Miller, on the opposite side of him. He suffered an ankle injury last week and is “week-to-week,” according to McDermott.

Rookie cornerback Kaiir Elam, is doubtful to play Sunday with an ankle injury. He has flashed this season and is getting better every game. With Elam likely sidelined, it will be interesting to see if All-Pro Tre’Davious White will finally make his debut back from his ACL tear.

Bills linebacker Tremaine Edmunds celebrates with Matt Milano after a sack.

The team’s leading tackler in linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, is also questionable for the game. He is dealing with both groin and heel issues. Edmunds missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday but got in a limited session on Friday. If he can’t go, Tyrel Dodson seems slated as the next man up. Matt Milano, who has arguably been the best off-ball linebacker in the league this season, is set to make his return. He missed last week with an oblique injury but returned to practice this week and will be a very welcome addition back to the defense. Especially if Edmunds cannot play.
