Sean Deveney of Heavy Sports reports that the 76ers will “keep asking about Kevin Durant” to potentially acquire the 34-year-old via trade.

The report essentially goes on to say Philadelphia is willing to make a big splash to make the most of Joel Embiid’s prime. Adding Durant wouldn’t be out of the question, but the Sixers would likely have to ship out young talent such as 21-year-old Tyrese Maxey in a package deal. The 76ers are just 7-7 through the first 14 games of the season.

Deveney notes that although Kevin Durant “made up” with the organization, things are form a kumbaya in Brooklyn, and the Nets are still in turmoil with Kyrie Irving suspended and Steve Nash recently fired. Brooklyn is fresh off a loss to the 3-10 Lakers, falling to 12th place in the Eastern Conference.

As for KD? The former MVP is still at the top of his game, becoming the first player since Michael Jordan (1988-89) to start a season with at least 14 straight games of 25+ points.
