Gus Edwards 40% Owned

Gus-Bus finished with 16 rushes for 52 yards and a touchdown in the Ravens’ Week 12 loss to the Jaguars. Fresh off a two week absence, Edwards dominated touches out of the Baltimore backfield, as no other running back recorded more than two carries.  In three games this season, the 27-year-old is averaging 14.3 touches. The Ravens rank 3rd in run-blocking and 7th in RB efficiency. Remember, starting running backs don’t grow on trees after 12 weeks. Edwards should be top priority for fantasy owners this week.

Zonovon Knight 0% Owned

Just like we all predicted Zonovan Knight would lead the Jets backfield against the Bears. The undrafted free agent compiled 103 yards on 17 touches in the Jets Week 12 win. In his first action of the season he started out splitting time with Michael Carter until he went down with injury. From that point on Knight carried the load. Robert Saleh said Michael Carter (ankle) has a sprain and that the Jets aren’t sure of the severity yet. With James Robinson seemingly in the dog house (healthy scratch) & Ty Johnson playing a complimentary role, Knight has the chance to lead the Jets backfield in touches moving forward.

Mike Boone 3% Owned

Boone is eligible to return from IR in Week 13 after recovering from an ankle injury suffered in Week 8. With Melvin Gordon waived and Chase Edmonds slated to “miss a lot time” expect Boone to immediately carve out a role in this backfield. He averages 6.8 yards per touch this year. That ranks Top-10 in the NFL. He also has the 7th easiest remaining schedule. Despite a strong performance against the Panthers, Murray has been uninspiring during his brief stint with the Broncos. Prior to Sunday’s Week 12 matchup, the 32-year-old had failed to surpass 3.3 yards per carry in game since Week 4. This projects to be a timeshare, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see Boone lead the team in touches down the stretch.
