It took just 12 weeks, but D’Andre Swift FINALLY showed why he was considered a top fantasy prospect entering the season.

Swift played 51% of snaps in the Lions’ Week 13 win over the Jaguars and turned it into 111 yards (18 touches) and a touchdown. This was the first time since Week 1 the 23-year-old finished with 20+ PPR points.

Swift was off the injury report heading into Week 13 — in what feels like eons — but it was still a leap of faith to believe he would see a significant role. His 51% snap share led the team, with Jamaal Williams at 30% and Justin Jackson at 21%. While a 51% snap share wont get owners out of bed, it’s still a positive development. Swift’s workload has now increased in four consecutive weeks, and it’s fair to think that trend will continue next week.

At the end of the day, Swift is the most talented running back on the Lions roster, and when he’s healthy it’s fair to expect they will utilize him as their lead back. The Lions are playing there best football in years, and Swift figures to be an integral part of the offense as we head down the stretch.

He’ll be back on the RB2 map against the Vikings.
