Jeff Passan of ESPN reports that the Phillies and free agent shortstop Trea Turner are in agreement on an 11-year, $300 million contract.

Just like that. Philly lands their starting shortstop for at least the next decade. Turner figures to slots into the middle of Philadelphia’s lineup alongside Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos and J.T. Realmuto.

The 29-year-old superstar hit .298 with 101 runs scored, 21 home runs, 100 RBI and 27 stolen bases in 708 plate appearances last year with the Dodgers. It’s fair to assume those numbers will only go up in hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park.

The Phillies who made the World Series last season, just go a whole better on both sides of the baseball.

Watch out.
