The Dodgers have agreed to a one-year contract with free agent right-hander Noah Syndergaard, according to Jeff Passan of ESPN.

The deal is worth $13 million with another $1.5 million in performance bonus, per MLB.com

The 30-year-old had an up-and-down 2022 season finishing with 3.94 ERA and 1.26 WHIP across 134 2/3 innings (25 appearances, 24 starts) last year between the Angels and Phillies. Syndergaard came off Tommy John surgery the prior season.

It’s an attractive landing spot for the former All-Star who now seeks to revitalize his career in Los Angeles. The Dodgers have had a knack to to develop starting pitchers over the years; just see Tyler Anderson and Andrew Heaney for example.

He’ll slide into a stacked Dodgers’ starting rotation that includes Clayton Kershaw, Julio Urías, Tony Gonsolin and Dustin May.
