New York Jets’ Head Coach Robert Saleh has announced that Zach Wilson will be the Jets’ backup quarterback in Week 15 against the Lions.

This was widely expected after Joe Flacco was inept in his brief relief of Mike White last week against Buffalo.

Saleh added that coaches have noticed a difference in Wilson during practice, but comes across as nothing but words of encouragement. Despite monumental lows, Wilson went 5-2 as the team’s starter this year, only losing to the Patriots (twice).

White, clearly the more polished signal caller, has went 1-2, despite throwing for 317.3 yards per game (2nd in NFL.) With the Jets season on the line and White battling a ribs injury, it very possible we see Wilson sooner rather than later.
