According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Stephen Curry’s left shoulder injury will sideline him for a “few weeks.”

The two-time MVP left Wednesday’s game against the Pacers late in the third quarter and did not return. Before his exit, Curry was cooking as usual, racking up 38 points – 27 of which coming in the first half – 7 rebounds, and 7 assists in a game that the Warriors were already without Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins.

“This has been a tough stretch, and if [Curry] is out, it will for sure get tougher,” head coach Steve Kerr said after the game.

Jordan Poole likely will run the point for the foreseeable future.

The defending NBA Champions have had a rocky start to their season at 14-15, and now it only gets worse. Going back to the 2019-20 season, when Curry was limited to five games, to see what happens when he doesn’t play; the Warriors had the worst record in the league at 15-50.

The Warriors struggled most when they went to their reserves. Their starting lineup notably has the best net rating amongst 5-man lineups in the entire league, and will be forced to resort to arguably the league’s worst bench as consolation.

The Dubs go to the City of Brotherly Love to take on the 76ers on Friday.
