The San Francisco Giants postponed Carlos Correa’s introduction press conference after a medical concern arose, according to Ronald Blum of the Associated Press.

Blum’s adds the announcement of the deal is now on hold while the two sides await the results of medical testing. The team has not released any details regarding the physical.

Correa and the Giants agreed to a 13-year, $350 million contract last week and it’s anyone’s guess what will happen next. It’s likely they are delaying out of caution, but it’s at least a situation worth monitoring closely.

Just about the only knock on Correa’s resume is durability. He has played 150 games in a season just once in his eight-year career.

Correa’s 13-year, $350 million contract would be the fourth-largest in baseball history behind Mike Trout, Mookie Beets and Aaron Judge.

For now? Stay tuned.
