The Giants have interest in free agent outfielder Michael Conforto, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.

The free agent pool is looking bleak, and with Giants now epically whiffing on Aaron Judge and now Carlos Correa, the team appears to be in full panic mode.

Now here’s where it gets interesting. Conforto is represented by the same agent, Scott Boras, as Correa, so it will be fascinating to see if San Francisco can get something done here.

The 29-year-old outfielder reportedly seeking a two-year deal (with an opt-out clause for next winter) after he missed all of the 2022 season due to a shoulder injury.

Conforto struggled with the Mets in 2021 slashing a pedestrian .232 with 14 home runs and 55 RBI across 479 plate appearances.

Jokes aside, he’s been a productive when healthy, and would provide the Giants with a competent middle of the order bat.
