Commanders head coach Ron Rivera said Chase Young (knee) is off the injury report and will play on Saturday against the 49ers.

Finally. Young will officially make his much anticipated return to the field after practicing with the team for nearly a month.

The 23-year-old reportedly be a full go in Saturday’s game against the 49ers, although it wouldn’t be surprising if the team monitors his snaps after missing over a year with a torn ACL.

Nevertheless, the No. 2 overall pick of the 2020 NFL draft is set to return for the final three weeks of the season.

Young’s presence will add a pass-rush boost to a defensive line that’s already among the best in the league.

The Commanders (7-6-1) are currently the seven seed in the NFC. If the season ended today, they would take on the Vikings in the first round of the playoffs.
