(New York, NY) Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Josh Sills has been indicted on rape and kidnapping charges just 10 days before Super Bowl LVII.

According to prosecutors in Ohio, the charges stem from an incident that occured in Guernsey County all the way back on Dec. 5, 2019.The crime was immediately reported, and the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation, according to a release from Attorney General Dave Yost’s office.

Three years later the Ohio native has officially been charged with one count of rape and one count of kidnapping, both of which are first-degree felonies. He could potentially be facing up to 30 years in prison.

Sills, who played football for the University of West Virginia and Oklahoma State University, was signed by the Eagles last year as an undrafted free agent. He played just five snaps for Philadelphia this season.  He’s currently listed as a backup right guard on the Eagles depth chart.

The offensive lineman was issued a summons to appear in Guernsey County Common Pleas Court at 1 p.m. on Feb. 16.
