(New York, NY) – While we know Tom Brady has decided to retire, an NFL reporter says the GOAT considered some new teams before calling it quits.

Jeff Darlington of ESPN took to Twitter where he says Brady went over some options, including his hometown San Francisco 49ers – who could be in the market for an upgrade at QB. The Las Vegas Raiders, where former New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is head coach, were also a possibility. If Brady wanted to stay in Florida, the Miami Dolphins may have been an option – and that pairing was heavily rumored in recent years.

Darlington says Brady thought about San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Miami before recording his retirement video.

One team was clearly not an option, according to the tweet. Darlington says when a reunion with the New England Patriots was brought up, Brady quickly said: “No, that ain’t happening.” As to whether that meant Brady felt he couldn’t go back, or couldn’t coexist with Belichick once more, is unclear.

Either way, now we’re just waiting on Brady’s bronze bust in Canton.
