NBA free agent guard Bryn Forbes was arrested early Wednesday morning in San Antonio. The former Spur is booked on a misdemeanor family violence charge.

The incident took place at La Cantera Resort & Spa, located in the 166000 block of La Cantera Parkway, at around 5:15 a..m.

According to San Antonio police, Forbes assaulted someone who appeared to be his girlfriend. The verbal argument escalated when the pair returned home from the spa, which is where things got physical.

Police added Forbes hit the woman several times, causing serious injury. He was then taken into police custody,

For Forbes, this likely puts a wrench in any plans to return to the league. The Michigan State product went undrafted in 2016. He played for the Spurs until 2021 and had recent stints with both the Nuggets and Timberwolves.

Forbes has career averages of 8.8 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.
