(New York, NY) — The rich get richer.

The New York Rangers have been running on all cylinders over the last four games, and look to become even better with one of their top defensemen returning.

Ryan Lindgren, who has been out since Feb. 25 due to an upper-body injury, is set to return for the Blue Shirts tonight vs. the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Rangers have been without Lindgren since he suffered a shoulder injury on a hit from the Capitals’ T.J. Oshie on Feb. 25. The five-year veteran missed in total 11 games, the longest injury stretch of his career. In his absence New York went 8-2-1.

“It’s noticeable in the locker room as well,” Mika Zibanejad said a couple weeks ago of Lindgren’s absence. “Obviously, well-liked guy. He comes to work every day. He works, I would say, harder than anyone and just the sacrifice he makes and everything.

“He’s been playing with [Adam] Fox for a long time, the way they have the chemistry. Whenever he comes back, we’re all going to be really happy. He’s a really good player for us, a really important player.”

Lindgren is expected to reunite on the top defensive pairing with Adam Fox, with K’Andre Miller and Jacob Trouba the second pairing, and Niko Mikkola and Braden Schneider the third pairing.
