(New York, NY) — The Brooklyn Nets have finally provided an injury update on forward Ben Simmons.

The update; is no update.

The team announced on Friday that Simmons (nerve impingement in back) will remain sidelined as the team determines the best course of action.

“That’s the great thing, is I don’t even think that far ahead. I don’t even complicate my life that way,” Vaughn said. “I’m concerned about [now]. If those questions present themselves, I’ll be more than willing to see how it fits with the group and answer them at that time. But I don’t want to look that far ahead.”

The 26-year-old hasn’t played since Feb. 15, getting PRP injections before the All-Star break and still is attempting a return to the court.

With just nine games remaining in what has been a rollercoaster regular season for the Nets, coach Jacque Vaughn told reporters Friday that Simmons isn’t yet practicing fully and has been working alone.

It is not with teammates, so I’ll say that piece of it,’ he said. ‘So, he hasn’t scripted with our group, our second group, first group, or anything of that nature.’

Simmons’ first year with the Nets has been a tumultuous disaster  The three-time All-Star is averaging just 6.9 points per game and lost his starting spot three times. He’s owed $78 million over the next two seasons.

Despite their struggles without Kevin Durant (7-12) – the Nets currently are the seven seed in the Eastern Conference (39-34.)
