Top Transfer Caleb Love Commits To Arizona

(New York, NY) — The top player in the college basketball transfer portal is making his decision on where he will continue his career.

Caleb Love announced his commitment to Arizona on Tuesday.

The former North Carolina guard had originally committed to Michigan earlier this offseason before an admissions issue led him to re-enter the portal.

“Caleb is a tremendously talented guard who has significant experience playing college basketball at a high level,” Lloyd saidWe look forward to helping Caleb grow his game at Arizona. And as we near the completion of the roster for the upcoming season, we feel great about how everything has come together. Now it’s time for the real work to start.”

Love averaged 16.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game with the Tar Heels last season. His 200 3-pointers made ranks eighth in UNC history while his point total is 35th all-time in Tar Heel history. Love was named Honorable Mention All-ACC each of the last two seasons after garnering ACC All-Freshman team honors in 2020-21.

Arizona is coming off a season where they finished with a 28-and-7 record and were bounced in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
