(Memphis, Ten) — Ja Morant is ready to silence his critics.

Some are anticipating that the Memphis Grizzlies star is slated to have an incredible year with newly-acquired free agent Derrick Rose by his side after he finishes serving his 25-game suspension.

It was a tweet by veteran guard Isaiah Thomas, clearly a believer in that theory, which made such a proclamation.

“Watch what type of season Ja has next year with D rose connected to his hip all year long,” Thomas tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “Once he gets off suspension he will have his best season yet. That D Rose presence going to have him on some MVP s–t… Watch!”

The tweet caught the attention of Morant who chimed in himself.

“you too loud OG. They gon feel me fasho,” Morant wrote on the social media platform.

Confidence is everything, right? Plus, many have compared the uber-athletic Morant to prime D-Rose, the youngest MVP in NBA history. So this could be a student-meets-the-master situation.

Luckily, they’ll have plenty of time to acclimate.

Morant will begin the season on the shelf with a 25-game suspension, handed down by Adam Silver, for violation of the league’s policy around guns and gun violence.
