(Los Angeles, CA) — Skip Bayless is taking a two month-hiatus from “Undisputed”.

The decision comes in result of Fox Sports 1 struggling to find a replacement for Shannon Sharpe, who left the show in June.

“Shannon’s exit moved way faster than they expected. So they had no choice but to go on hiatus,” source told FOS. “Skip has never done anything like this during all his years at FS1 or ESPN. Not being on the air during all these NBA moves is killing him.”

The departure of Sharpe from the show was attributed to the escalating tensions between the hosts. The talking heads co-hosted since the program debuted in 2016.

With Sharpe out and Stephen A. Smith seemingly unlikely to leave ESPN — Fox will have to look elsewhere to find a new partner for Bayless.

Meanwhile, Sharpe has reportedly been talking to FanDuel about replacing Pat McAfee who’s leaving for ESPN.
