(New York, NY) — When is enough, enough?

The New York Yankees have reached a new season low.

The Bombers dropped a weekend series against the National League’s worst Colorado Rockies, capped off with a crushing defeat on Sunday in extra innings.

The Yankees are 50-44 on the year landing them at the bottom of the AL East. Just making the playoffs appears to be a challenge of its own, currently 2 GB of the third wildcard spot.

Some of the blame needs to be directed toward manager Aaron Boone’s as his seat continues to warm. Boone was hired back in 2018 with the intention of taking the team to the next level, the World Series.

Boone has failed in that regard, unable to lift the Yankees over the playoff hump with exits in the past five seasons.

Owner Hal Steinbrenner has maintained a top three payroll in the MLB throughout Boones tenure, along with general manager Brian Cashman providing more than enough talent.

So, What’s the excuse?

While Boone has dealt with his fair share of injuries across his six years with the club, there’s no excuse. There is no reason as to why this year’s Yankee team has been the worst of them all.

Despite his controversial in-game decisions and overall hold on the locker room, Boone takes little accountability for the team’s struggles. His reaction is rather to be offended by the media’s hard hitting questions.
