(New York) — Hard Knocks is going to be different this year.

The Jets will reportedly be keeping some doors shut to HBO’s “Hard Knocks” crew. The team asked the NFL not to feature them, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

New York will also limit HBO’s access to the team which includes not showing players getting cut throughout training camp.

“Hard Knocks will not be the same. They’re not going to be given the same access,” reporter Adam Schefter said on Monday’s episode of ESPN’s “Get Up.” “The Jets don’t believe it’s humane to show players being released.”

“They fought it all along,” Schefter noted. “They met with NFL Films and told them clear as day and said, ‘We don’t want to this.’”

Head coach Robert Saleh, quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and special teams captain Justin Hardee all voiced their displeasure with being featured on the show.

Rodgers even said “They shoved it down our throats,” once the news was officially announced.

The Jets join the Hard Knocks family of 20 since 2001, including in-season versions of the show.

Out of the 20 teams, seven made it to the postseason, three won a playoff game, and one made it to the conference title game.

That conference title game team was the New York Jets. They haven’t sniffed the postseason since.
