(Las Vegas, NV) – Breathe easy, Raiders fans (and fantasy football players) – running back Josh Jacobs appears to be getting ready to rejoin the team, and end his holdout.
Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal says the expectation is that Jacobs will be back with the team over the next couple of weeks.

This could pave the way for Jacobs to be ready for the club’s season opener against the Denver Broncos. Because Jacobs hasn’t yet signed his franchise contract tender, he hasn’t incurred any financial penalties during his holdout. If he misses any regular season games he will miss out on cash.

Jacobs, taken in the first round by Las Vegas during the 2019 draft, enjoyed a breakout season last year. He led the league in rushing yards (1,653) and finished in the top ten in rushing TDs with 12.
The Raiders enter the season without longtime QB Derek Carr (who was cut and joined the New Orleans Saints) – and new starter Jimmy Garoopolo will inevitably benefit from Jacobs being in the fray.
