TEXAS — The World Series champions are adding a potentially pivotal arm to their bullpen.

The Rangers and free agent relief pitcher David Robertson, reached a one-year deal in the $11 million-$12 million range, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan on Thursday.

The deal is pending a physical, sources said.

Robertson, who will turn 39 in April, finished with 18 saves last season between the Mets and Marlins – he was sent to Miami during the trade deadline.

The 15-year veteran flourished in New York, pitching to a 2.05 ERA across 44 innings (filling in for Edwin Diaz), but struggled in Miami. Robertson was demoted from his closer roll and pitched to a 5.06 ERA in 22 appearances.

During a September meeting between the Mets and Marlins, Robertson told The Post’s Mike Puma that if the opportunity presented itself, he would be willing to pitch in Citi Field again.

“If the opportunity is right, if everything works in my favor I would probably take the opportunity, but if not I am not going to,” he said.

Gee, thanks Mike

Well it wasn’t meant to me. Robertson will take his talent to Texas, where he figure to still pitch in high leverage situations.
