LAS VEGAS — Travis Kelce is feeling the pressure from the “Swifties.”
The star Chiefs tight end was pressed about a potential Taylor Swift engagement when fielding questions from the media Monday on Super Bowl “Opening Night” at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
When asked, “Is there going to be another ring besides the Super Bowl ring if you win this thing on Sunday?” Kelce replied, “I’m focused on getting this ring and that’s all my mind’s focused on right now.”
“She’s unbelievable,” Kelce said. “She’s rewriting the history books. I told her I’ll have to hold up my end of the bargain and bring home some hardware, too.”
Rumors have heated up of a potential engagement after news broke that Kelce has asked Swift’s father for permission of marriage.
A source close to Kelce confirmed the claim, and even suggested the NFL star has spoken to Scott Swift: “[Taylor’s dad] has been asked for his blessing and has wholeheartedly given it, and Travis has been talking to friends about a ring.”
There’s talk the ring is being designed or could be in his pocket already.
For now? Kelce is seeking his third Super Bowl win with the Chiefs and he’ll wiry about the “Swifties” at a later date.
