(Philadelphia, PA) – It looks like the sports world is getting closer to learning what comes next for Philadelphia sports legend Jason Kelce – and the Eagles may be losing the anchor of their offensive line.

After Philly made a first-round exit from the NFL Playoffs, closing out what was a disappointing end to a once-promising year, rumors circled that Kelce was ready to retire. At the time, reports said the center had told teammates of his intention before the playoffs got underway.

Now, Kelce has called a press conference for Monday afternoon and says after coming to “a decision,” he will make that announcement. A seven-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro could end up with a bust in Canton someday. He’s played for the Eagles over the past 13 seasons after being drafted out of Cincinnati.

If Kelce is getting ready to move on, it will be a big loss for the Eagles. Both as a leader, and as the lynchpin of their offensive line, Kelce has arguably become the face of the franchise for Philadelphia over the past decade. Still, the Eagles figure to be one of the NFC’s top squads next season regardless, and will look to make another Super Bowl appearance after coming up short against the Chiefs two seasons ago.
