NEW ENGLAND — Apple TV+ released two episodes on Thursday night of the new Patriots docuseries “The Dynasty,” and fans are having quite the response. On the latest installment, the documentary covered the Deflategate scandal, and revealed tidbits of unknown information.

Darrelle Revis, who played one season with the Patriots, was featured in Thursday’s episode. He spoke about the scandal and revealed how Tom Brady handled it behind closed doors. He detailed the quarterback addressing the team through a tearful apology.

“When Deflategate happened and Tom was the headliner of the whole situation, he addressed us as a team. You could tell he was distraught. He was actually bawling his eyes out in front of us.”

Revis claimed Brady implored teammates in the locker room that the accusations against him were false and insisted it would not distract the team. Wide receiver Danny Amendola added the whole scandal took a toll on Brady – because his kids dealt with hecklers at school.

Tom Brady Snr., the quarterback’s father, was also interviewed for the show. “It was an extraordinarily difficult [time] in the life of the Brady family,” he explained. “Not only did I suffer from it, but my wife, it crushed her. Because [Tom] is not a liar.”

Brady was accused of allegedly ordering team personnel to deflate game balls below the league minimum requirement of 12.5 psi against the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship game in 2014.

He initially appealed a four-game suspension handed down by the league in 2014, but it was overturned in 2016. The Patriots were fined $1 million, and Brady was suspended for the first four games of the season. The team was also stripped of first- and fourth-round draft picks. Brady and the Patriots would end up defeated the Seattle Seahawks to win Super Bowl XLIX that year. Ball don’t lie, right?

The next two episodes of the documentary air on Friday.
