(Orlando, FL) – Some NFL experts have speculated that Jets head coach Robert Saleh is on the hot seat entering the 2024-2025 season.

After a season that began with Super Bowl expectations came spiraling down in spectacular fashion, some wondered if Saleh would be fired this offseason.

And while that didn’t come to pass, a report says things are in fact getting hot around Saleh. According to Colleen Wolfe and Around the NFL, Saleh and Jets Owner Woody Johnson got into a “very heated conversation,” at the NFL Owner’s Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

The incident happened, supposedly, on Monday night, according to NFL Insider Collen Wolfe.

“Maybe they were disagreeing on how they like their steak cooked,” Wolfe said. “Doubt that though.”

She tried to back off at one point, saying it wasn’t an “argument,” just a “discussion.”

“A little awkward,” she said. “A little awkward.” She based it on their “body language,” as it was relayed to her by an unnamed source.

“A lively conversation they were having,” she said. “So, what was that about?”

While details are scarce beyond that initial report, that wouldn’t seem to bode well for Saleh as he looks to turn things around and keep his job.

Hired to be the Jets’ head coach ahead of the 2021 season, the 45-year-old Saleh has a 18–33 record while helming Gang Green.
