Everybody Needs to Backoff Aaron Rodgers

New York Jets QB Aaron Rodgers during the 2023 season opener.

We live in a strange world. One where social media is so prevalent, that one microscopic, non sensical, meaningless story can take over news outlets for days upon days.

And it happened again.. shockingly centered around Aaron Rodgers.

On Tuesday, as the New York Jets got their offseason minicamp underway, Rodgers was nowhere to be found.”

And the absences are not excused, according to Robert Saleh, who said Rodgers had a previously scheduled event that is “important to him.”

“Aaron and I spoke before OTAs started. He’s been very good in communication. He’s been here the entire time. It’s unexcused, but he had an event that was very important to him, which he communicated,” Saleh said on Tuesday, after Rodgers’ first missed practice.

So story over right? Wrong. Insert the toxicity of social media

Where Dianna Russini, Nick Wright and the rest of the twitter trolls are having a frenzy.

Big deal? An 18-year veteran who’s won four MVP’s missed a practice in June? Get a grip.

There has to be something more important going on in the world then the whereabouts of the Jets QB. But whatever generates clicks, right?

Everybody needs to take a breath, step outside, and do something productive – rather then worry about Aaron Rodgers. Believe it or not, there’s more to life then hate.
