(New York, NY) — The wait is finally over. After months and months of speculation, the New York Jets have officially acquired Aaron Rodgers.

NFL insider Trey Wingo first reported the trade on Monday. “Hearing Rodgers to the Jets is done,” Wingo tweeted. “History about to repeat itself between New York and Green Bay. Time is indeed a flat circle.”

While ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport originally said no deal had been reached, one source said “old news” when asked about Rodgers heading to New York. Turns out Wingo and the unnamed source were right all along.

In the end, it was always the perfect match. Green Bay had no leverage without another suitor involved, while the Jets had no other available quarterbacks on the market.

With Gang Green, Rodgers joins a championship-ready roster with his beloved former offensive coordinator, Nathanial Hackett. After a roller coaster ride, the four-time MVP and Jet fans can finally sit back and R-E-L-A-X…. for now.
