(New York, NY) — While the world waits on what’s next in the Aaron Rogers saga, the QB’s appearance on the Pat McAfee Show figures to shed some insight.

Earlier this week, NFL insider Trey Wingo tweeted that Rogers would be coming to the New York Jets – but that hasn’t been confirmed in the ensuing days. According to reports on social media, Rogers told McAfee by text message “I think it’s time to let the world know what’s going on.”

Rogers regularly appears as a guest on McAfee’s program, typically on Tuesday. But he wasn’t a part of yesterday’s program, setting up today’s appearance. ESPN insider Adam Schefter has said it wouldn’t surprise him if Rogers discloses that he wants to join the Jets, while also admitting that the situation is complicated.

“I will not be surprised if Aaron Rodgers tells Pat McAfee, yes, that he wants to play for the Jets. But as you’ve been saying all week long, there are layers to this whole situation,” the NFL Insider said on Get Up this morning.

Given his contract with Green Bay, Rogers must agree to any trade. He’s reportedly already told the Jets he has certain demands, and a wish-list made up of certain players. Former Packers WR Allen Lazard is said to be on that list – he just inked a four-year, $44 million contract.
