(New York, NY) — Fantasy Football fanatics, it’s that time a year again to start those mock drafts ahead of the 2023 Fantasy draft. This year’s draft is likely to be one we’ve never seen before.

But why?

In the past the first overall pick would typically go to a running back, but after three Pro Bowl backs failed to sign long term contracts, this year might just be different. Testing this theory,  77 WABC’s Michael Lamorte participated in five ESPN mock snake fantasy drafts. What he found was shocking.

In three out of the five mock drafts, the top five overall picks were similar. Justin Jefferson reigned king, selected first overall in four out of the five drafts.

Last year, it was Cooper Kupp who sat on the throne, with many fantasy players looking to draft him first overall– but Jefferson had something to say about the Rams receiver.

“Coop is good, but I’ll say he’s behind me,” said Jefferson to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen.

Overall, this year’s fantasy draft is expected to be huge for the wide receiver market, with three out of the top five mock picks belonging to that position.

Based off the five mock drafts, It’s safe to say “JJettas” will more than likely be selected first overall in your fantasy football league this season.
